We're Hiring! - Job Announcement - Joinery Fitting Foreman

Dunmore are looking for an experienced Joinery Fitting Foreman with a joinery or cabinet making background to lead our site fitting team. The candidate must have very good communications teams and be confident taking to clients, architects, our team and other contractors. The successful candidate must have experience delivering projects to a very high quality standard. We are looking for a driven team leader who enjoys the challenge of delivering high quality interiors projects.The position is site-based with periods of work based in our premises near Kilkenny City.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Overseeing the site installation of high quality specialist joinery projects
Implementing and maintaining proper Health & Safety procedures on site
Maintaining good relationships with clients, designers and other contractors
Working with our Project Managers to ensure the proper delivery of our projects
The ability to work under pressure to deliver projects on time
Qualified Joiner, Cabinetmaker or other related trade.
Working away from home during the fitting project
Working in the workshop as a bench joiner/cabinet maker during manufacture phases
Overseeing and organizing site labour
Taking a hands on approach to overseeing fitting
Strong communication skills.
Can read and understand working and site fitting CAD drawings
Preparing site reports for management including payroll, site progress, snagging, health & safety etc.
Full drivers license
 
Essential qualifications

Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in the joinery/shopfitting/furniture/construction industry

Computer literate: MS Office- Excel, Word, Outlook, Project. An understanding of Autocad would be beneficial but not essential.

Desired qualifications

Qualified Joiner, Cabinet-Maker, Carpenter or with an experienced construction background with a relevant third level project or construction management qualification. (8-10 years plus experience required)

Salary commensurate with expertise.
